Welcome to Year 4! Our three classes work endlessly to transition our scholars from learning how to read to reading so they can learn. Year 4 students in Sandford International School are taught based on the rigorous English National Curriculum. They also are taught using the International Primary Curriculum. By the end of the year, these students have learned where chocolate comes from, how to conduct a science experiment, what makes a piece of writing worth reading and how to critically think as a mathematician. The teachers recognise the potential of each scholar and challenge each student on their learning level. Year 4 promotes an environment of investigation and discovery through enquiry, cooperation and adaptability!
Our first IPC Unit was "Chocolate." We all enjoyed learning about where chocolate originated from and how it developed in to what it is today.
